Quick and Dirty SSIS Variable Export

If you have a lot of variables in your SSIS package and you want to document the contents, one way is to do this:

1. Create a package configuration

2. Enter a name for the config file (variables.xml)

3. Select the variables to include.

4. Click OK to create the config file.

This XML can then be opened in Excel 2007 as an XML table.
